Named after its frequent dolphin sightings, it is also referred to as Dolphin Bay.
Puerto Galera, derived from Spanish, means “Port of the Galleons.” In 1973, it was designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and boasts the most diverse coral reef diving areas in Asia. Additionally, it is listed as a member of the “Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club,” being the only bay in the Philippines to receive such recognition. PG Island is an ocean paradise surrounded by forest-covered mountains, renowned as a premier diving destination in Asia and a preferred choice for many divers seeking certification.

Underwater, PG Island boasts vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life. These colorful reefs are home to a variety of marine creatures, including schools of reef fish such as triggerfish, snappers, groupers, barracudas, jacks, drumfish, and trevallies, along with thriving coral formations and occasional reef sharks.
Many of Puerto Galera’s dive sites are located along the Verde Island Passage. The currents can be strong in this channel, making it a preferred choice for drift diving as well.

Discover Scuba Diving
Discover Scuba Dive is a fun activity that allows you to venture into the underwater world and explore its beauty. It is a course designed for individuals who do not have a scuba diving certification and provides an opportunity to experience diving. Whether you want to familiarize yourself with the marine ecosystem during your travels or determine your interest in diving before obtaining a certification, Try Scuba Diving is the perfect introductory course.
The main objectives of the course are to experience breathing underwater, observe marine life, and capture beautiful photos. The total duration of the activity is approximately 2.5 hours.
Beginner Scuba Diving
The PADI OW Diver course is the most popular beginner course for aspiring divers. It primarily focuses on teaching you all the necessary foundational scuba diving theory and skills to become a safe and comfortable diver. Upon completion of the course, you will be certified to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 meters.
During this course, you will have ample time to practice and master the most essential diving skills. These skills include equipment handling, proper buoyancy control, underwater communication signals, and safe diving practices.

In a serious medical emergency, every second is precious and there’s no time to consult “doctor internet.” With first aid and CPR training from Emergency First Response® (EFR®), you’ll gain the knowledge and skills to help someone in need and become an essential link in the chain of survival.
The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills.
Specialties Diving
Enriched air, also known as nitrox or EANx, contains less nitrogen than regular air. Breathing less nitrogen means you can enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals. No wonder Enriched Air Diver is the most popular PADI® specialty.
Excellent buoyancy control is what defines skilled scuba divers. You’ve seen them underwater. They glide effortlessly, use less air and ascend, descend or hover almost as if by thought. They more easily observe aquatic life without disturbing their surroundings. You can achieve this, too. The PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course improves the buoyancy skills you learned as a new diver and elevates them to the next level.
Discover the balance and efficiency of sidemount scuba diving with your PADI dive instructor. Many divers find sidemount tanks are more comfortable and easier to put on in the water. Sidemount diving is also beneficial for divers who want improved balance and prolonged dives.
